Kanye West: At my lowest place, God was there with me

Kanye West was Joel Olsteen’s guest at Lakewood Church this last weekend. While speaking, Kanye made some really great points. The video from TMZ above will showcase a lot of his comments.

There has been a lot of negativity toward Kanye over the last few weeks that he has be confessing the movement God is doing in his life.

It concerns me to see many of the comments directed at Kanye. And what concerns me most is this:

MOST of the people praising God for Kanye’s public transformation are secular, and more of the people condemning Kanye are self-proclaimed Christians.

Personally, I have never liked Kanye West. Didn’t like most of his music, I didn’t like his public persona, and I didn’t like the family he married into. And honestly, I still don’t. Just because he is a self-proclaimed Christian doesn’t mean I now live his music and persona.

In fact, I laughed when he called himself “the greatest musical person God every created”. But, it is not my job to judge Kanye West.

It is not your job to judge Kanye West. Yes, we should all be skeptical of someone who becomes a Christian and immediately releases an album and sells tickets to hear him preach and perform.

But we cannot say that Kayne West is not a man of God. I don’t know Kanye personally, and I will probably never meet him. I will not sit here and say that Kanye is not a man of God.

His album has become the most popular album of 2019. He has reached thousands of souls and has been able to claim thousands of people for the Lord.

Kanye West will be judged by the Lord based off his fruit.

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

Matthew 7:15-20

A Call To Christians

Stop condemning and judging Kanye West because of his past. Start praying for him and those who are supporting him! He is on a mission for the Lord and he needs our prayer, now more than ever!

God does not call us to judge one another, he calls us to pray and love one another.
